Little did I know that the investment property that my wasband and I invested in would end up being the place where I would live and grow at this point of my life.
It’s a charming two bedroom one bath condo that I’ve created with help from some really great people in my life. They celebrate me and what I stand for and what I don’t stand for anymore.
I didn’t take many material items when I left the marriage. I did leave with confidence and worthiness as well a drive so strong there would be no turning back this time.
I didn’t have much on the walls in any one of the rooms I had. So I decorated them with words of inspiration and ideas I had to take me to my next level. This is one of my bathroom walls that I’m sharing with you.
I’m painting over this wall today. As I purchased a new shower curtain to brighten up my life a little more every-time I walk into my bathroom. A lotus shower curtain. The lotus flower is a beautiful flower that grows out of muddy waters. It reminds me of my own transformation.
Today as I paint over the words, I’m reminded about moving forward and how important it is to let go of the past. I’ve grown into what I believe is the best version of myself and every day I strive to be better than I was yesterday.
I am free at last.
